On the beautiful sunny, autumn evening of 8th October, three members of Cruse Oxfordshire were privileged attend a reception to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of CRUSE, held in the presence of HM Queen. It took place in the State apartments of St James’ Palace; large, high ceilinged rooms with sumptuous décor. Some walls were papered in rich red damask and doorways were crowned with elaborate gold cornices. Grace, the representative of Banbury Cruse, commented that she wouldn’t like to have to do the dusting!
